Welcome to Ready to Hand: SAORI Philadelphia!

Ready to Hand: SAORI Philadelphia is a community textile gallery and teaching studio. 

We are a registered SAORI weaving studio and distributor of SAORI looms, equipment and accessories.  SAORI’s unique and user-friendly looms are suitable for all ages and abilities, with many special features that make them ideal for beginners and experienced weavers, and also for weavers of all physical abilities and challenges.  

We offer instruction for adults and children in SAORI weaving, traditional weaving and "off-loom" weaving.  We also offer workshops in Shibori and indigo dyeing, and other fiber arts (including knitting, crochet, quilting, sewing, and more).  Read to Hand Studio hosts community gatherings and concerts, and may be hired for private events.

Ready to Hand is conveniently located in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood of Philadelphia, within easy walking distance of Center City and Rittenhouse Square and also accessible by bus and train

• Monday:  10:00am - 4:00pm
• Tuesday:  1:00pm - 9:00pm
• Wednesday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
• Thursday: By appointment
• Friday:  Closed
• Saturday:  By appointment
• Sunday: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
